Recently my work laptop was hit with the Chrome update that finally disabled uBlock Origin and I quickly established that the modern web is nearly unusable for me personally without it. I’ve been trying out moving back to FireFox and things are going well so far but I was really irritated by how slow scrolling felt in comparison to Chrome.

Fortunately, it turns out that scroll speed is configurable! You can simply open a new tab in FireFox and navigate to about:config in the address bar. Accept the warning and then search for the mousewheel.min_line_scroll_amount property and modify it to any number of your choosing. The default was 5 but I ended up bumping it up to 50 to more closely match what I was familiar with from Chrome.
